Compared to ILFORD MULTIGRADE IV RC DELUXE – what you need to know
Since the launch of the world’s first variable contrast MULTIGRADE paper back in 1940, ILFORD has maintained a long and proud tradition of quality. Launched 25 years after generation 4, this 5th generation paper continues to build on the defining features of its predecessors.
Key differences: Generation 5 has a slightly warmer base tint, better blacks for greater depth, improved mid-grade spacing and a smoother sensitometric curve providing more uniform contrast throughout the tonal range.
ILFORD MULTIGRADE RC DELUXE is available in glossy, pearl and satin surfaces and a variety of sheet and roll sizes. ILFORD MULTIGRADE RC PAPERS are also available in Cooltone and Warmtone variants.

A versatile paper for general black and white enlargements, this box of 25 sheets of 8 x 10″ Multigrade IV RC DeLuxe PaperÃƒâ€šÃ‚ fromÃƒâ€šÃ‚ Ilford features a glossy 1M surface finish that is smooth and reflective in order to achieve noticeably deep black tones and a long tonal scale. Its bright white base tint delivers a cool-to-neutral image colour, and it responds well to select toners, especially selenium, for increasing the effective print lifespan. As a variable contrast paper, it responds to seven full grades of contrast during printing, when using multigrade filters, and it is suitable for printing both conventional black and white negatives as well as chromogenic black and white negative films. Additionally, the paper can be processed using standard black and white chemistry in either trays or using machine processors.
